Keyboard Shortcuts
Cell Navigation and Editing
- Click: Start editing a cell
- Enter: Confirm cell edit and move to next row
- Tab: Confirm cell edit and move to next column
- Esc: Close cell editor without saving changes (essential for accessing other operations)
- F2: Enter edit mode for the selected cell
Data Operations
- Ctrl+C / Cmd+C: Copy selected cells
- Ctrl+V / Cmd+V: Paste data into selected cells
- Ctrl+X / Cmd+X: Cut selected cells
- Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z: Undo last edit
- Ctrl+Shift+Z / Cmd+Shift+Z: Redo last undone edit
- Delete: Clear content of selected cells
Selection and Navigation
- Tab/Shift+Tab/Arrow Keys: Navigate between cells
- Shift+Arrow Keys: Extend selection
- Home: Move to first column of current row
- End: Move to last column of current row
- Ctrl+Home / Cmd+Home: Move to top-left cell
- Ctrl+End / Cmd+End: Move to bottom-right cell
- Row Selection: Click row header to select entire row
- Column Selection: Click column header to select entire column
- Range Selection: Click and drag to select cell ranges
- Full Selection: Use Ctrl+A/Cmd+A or click very first cell (top-left) to select entire worksheet
Important Notes
- Press Esc to close custom cell editors before performing drag operations (auto-fill, copy, etc.)
- Some shortcuts may vary based on browser and operating system
- Right-click for context menu with additional options
