Limitations

This section documents current limitations, known issues, and workarounds for the worksheet widget.

Copy and Paste Limitations​

User Fields:​

  • Copy-paste not supported for user fields
  • Alternative: Use drag-autofill feature

Reference Fields:​

  • Copy-paste not supported for reference fields
  • Workaround: Use the reference editor for each field

Date/DateTime Fields:​

  • External paste only works with matching date formats

Browser Clipboard Permission:​

  • Browser Security: Some browsers restrict clipboard access
  • Workaround: Use browser permissions to allow clipboard access

Auto-fill Limitations​

  • Drag-Autofill not supported for Reference fields
  • Workaround: Use the reference editor for each field

Field Display Limitations​

  • Read-only Attributes: Reference, Expression, Attachment, and RichText fields cannot be edited inline

  • Editor Display: Prefix/Suffix Not shown in custom cell editors for improved navigation usability

Row Reordering vs. Column Filtering & Sorting​

  • Limitation: Column filtering & sorting is disabled when row reordering is enabled
  • Workaround: Complete reordering operations before disabling row reordering to enable filtering & sorting

Data Limits​

  • Row Limit: Optimized for up to 10,000 rows per worksheet
  • Column Limit: Best performance with fewer than 50 columns
  • Copy/Paste Limit: 1,000 rows maximum for paste operations
