What it is
- A Pie Chart shows parts of a whole. It's best for small numbers of categories.
Required configuration fields
- Name
- Display Name
- Data Source
- Report Type: "PieChart"
- Valid For
- Definition
- Precision
- Grand Totals
- Show Title
- Chart Title (only if Show Title = true)
- Export To CSV
- Export To Excel
- Data Labels
- Legend
- Show State Filter
- Show Parent Filter
- Show Attribute Filter
Optional/advanced
- Group small slices into "Others" using thresholds.
- Provide custom chart colors via chartColors or fields.chartColor.
Tips
- Limit categories to keep chart readable.
- For drilldown and exact values prefer a Tabular or Bar chart.
Success criteria
- Renderer uses reportDisplayType "PieChart" and displays aggregated values by category.
